Year 6 Transition Tuesday Updates from Consett Academy – 23rd June 2020

As we get closer to the end of term, a lot of you will have questions about starting at the Academy. A couple of weeks ago, we asked you what you wanted to know, here are the answers to the question some Year 6 students sent in.  Next Tuesday would have been your Transition Day in the Academy and to mark the occasion we will share some video taster lessons that you can try at home or in school. For parents, we will also post a video of the Parents’ Evening that would have taken place on the evening.

Coding Club – Exciting News!

A message from Miss Edwards: 
This year, members of Coding Club took part in a task to create a message, along with a temperature recording of their classroom, which was then sent to the International Space Station (ISS) to be played to the astronauts living there. They have now been played and the locations of the ISS at the time that they were played is shown on their certificates. Well done!
